We are seeking a skilled PaaS Operations Engineer to provide technical support and maintenance of our Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily operational management of the PaaS infrastructure, incident and problem resolution, and continuous improvement of the platform and related processes. This role involves close collaboration with other teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and the successful implementation of new solutions.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Review of design and oversee the operational architecture for IT systems and networks within the PaaS environment

• Develop and maintain operational standards, procedures, and documentation
• Create and implement strategies for system and network performance monitoring, capacity planning, and optimization
• Collaborate with other IT and security teams to ensure operational requirements are met in all projects and initiatives
• Lead root cause analysis for complex operational issues
• Design disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Oversee security architecture within the PaaS environment
• Perform impact analysis for upcoming changes
• Investigate and resolve incidents and problems
• Acceptance of handover new delivered projects 
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of IT systems

Vendor-related:

• Serve as the primary technical liaison with the PaaS vendor
• Verify and validate vendor activities and changes to the infrastructure
• Collaborate with the vendor to design and implement operational improvements
• Participate in regular service review meetings with the vendor
• Oversee vendor compliance with SLAs and operational requirements

Requierements:

• 5+ years of experience in IT operations, including systems and network administration
• English - Advanced C1
• Deep understanding of PaaS architectures and operational models
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, security, and infrastructure components
• Experience with cloud technologies and hybrid environments
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT service management principles
• Understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements
• OS (AIX/Solaris/Redhat on basic admin level)
• virtualization – VMware, Kubernetes, Docker …
• Databases - Oracle
• Middlewares (Tomcat, MQ, WMB)
• General firewalling (ASA, checkpoint)
• BackUp technologies, BackUp systems
• Overview in the area of Storage solutions and SAN
• Experience in systems management
• Experience in creating IT design and sizing
• Infrastructure architecture patterns - clusters, RAC, disaster recovery – in the all mentioned areas (application servers, core servers, storage, backup...)
